IRC-ORAN PRE-CAST LTD
IRISH RESEARCH COUNCIL-ORAN PRE-CAST LTD
Description
This two-year project is an enterprise partnership postdoctoral scheme funded by the Irish Research Council and Oran Pre-Cast Ltd. The overall aim of this project is to develop a standard-based theoretical and experimental framework for evaluating the effectiveness of proposed innovative building structural elements regarding their individual and potentially combined thermal, acoustic, air tightness and fire resistance properties on indoor environments. This will be done through a combination of the development of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models and real-time data provided by an industrial scale demonstrator building and laboratory experiments.
