Shima Yousefi
Bio
Shima has received her B.Sc. in Civil-Surveying Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tafresh Branch) and graduated with honors in 2013. She moved to Europe in 2019 and continued her career as a researcher in Building Information Modeling (BIM), Reduced ordered Models ROM and Digital Twins. She performed research in the area of Energy Managements of Island communities to Achieve Energy Independency by Means of Digital Twins under SPHERE project EU / H2020 Grant with Agreement No.: 820805 and participated in several workshops, and conferences in BIM based platforms and Digital Construction in Europe.
She joined the Department of Civil Engineering of the National University of Ireland Galway in 2019 to work under the supervision of Dr. Marcus Keane (IRUSE). Her research aims at helping boost a building’s energy performance throughout its lifecycle – from design to end of life - by allowing better design, construction and performance while reducing time, costs and the environmental impact of the construction process.
