Ennio Guido Schiavon Jr.
Ennio Guido Schiavon Jr is a researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Galway, Ireland, and a collaborative member of the Informatics Research Unit for Sustainable Engineering (IRUSE). His work contributes to the university’s research in civil engineering and related interdisciplinary areas, involving collaboration on research and innovation projects with academic, industry, and national and international partners.
Prior to his academic engagement, he built an extensive industry career spanning nearly two decades at Landis+Gyr, where he held progressively senior roles across sales engineering, export coordination, and global product management. He began his career as a Sales Engineer, working on telemetering systems and leading technical and commercial proposals for public and private sector clients. He subsequently served as Export Coordinator, with responsibility for the South American market, customer engagement, distributor development, and technical-commercial presentations. Advancing to Product Manager and later Marketing and Product Manager, he became a Global Product Manager and a member of the Global Product Management Team (GPM), reporting directly to senior regional and global leadership. In these roles, he contributed to global product strategy, market evaluations, international business development, and customer-focused solutions, combining strong analytical capability with negotiation, stakeholder coordination, and strategic planning expertise.
